Restaurant Menu Printing for Rebrand

The Stable is a pizza bar and restaurant which was founded ten years ago by ex-music industry aficionados. On leaving The City, they had planned to move to the South Coast and take it easy. Instead, they inadvertently created a local community pizza experience in their backyard stable that people loved. The brand grew, they launched it commercially and today The Stable boasts ten locations across the UK.

Needing reliable printing services in London, Victoria has worked with Rival Colour for more than ten years. In her latest role – managing the marketing for Stable Pizza ­– printing services for a rebrand were needed.

Further to a buy-out two years ago, The Stable required printing services for a restaurant rebrand and makeover. Victoria did not hesitate to commission Rival to complete the printing, and says “Whichever role I take on, Rival Colour are my preferred printers”

Rival Colour’s Printing Services: What We Delivered

Each restaurant has a unique menu that has branded stamps. The first job was the reprint of these unique menus for each of the ten venues, including food and drink, weekend brunch and kids’ menus. Rival Colour also printed flyers, posters and other point-of-sale promotional material for The Stable.

One particularly tricky job was the printing of bespoke beer mats for the successful cider-tasting menu. Victoria says: “I know that if I need to print anything unusual, Rival Colour will find a solution for me.”

The Results: Restaurant Printing on Time and to Budget

For this rebrand, Rival Colour worked hard to get this job on time and to budget. When you are marketing for a rebrand, event or product launch, things can rapidly change. Stakeholders want to edit and try new things – such as changes to design and copy – often at short-notice, which makes meeting deadlines all the more challenging.

Victoria states: “Knowing that you have a team on call who you can trust and are invested in your business is really important. In fact, as soon as something is approved, Nick at Rival Colour will come back with the proof very quickly and will often provide recommendations or point out something that has been missed. This is important as it ensures that problems are sorted before they go to print, which saves us time and money in the long run.”

Now that the hospitality industry is firing up again, The Stable will be opening more restaurants around the country – and Rival Colour can’t wait to start printing menus for the opening of their new restaurants soon. Bon appetite!
